Profile of: A. P. Lallande, DO

     Dr. Andre Pierre Lallande is a native Californian,  born in Los Angeles. His interest in medicine began at a very early age.
      He received an AS degree in biology from Mt. San Antonio College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lallande then attended the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, where he received his BS degree in Biological Sciences. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received several scholarships, including the Pomona Valley Hospital Pre-med Scholarship.

     Dr. Lallande searched for a medical school that would satisfy his interests. In 1991 he made his choice to attend the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He did this because of their outstanding reputation for producing excellent physicians that try to help the entire patient in a holistic manner. Dr. Lallande graduated from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, and he ranked sixth in a class of one hundred fifty.

     Dr Lallande received a Naval Scholarship while attending the Western University of Health Sciences, and upon graduation entered into active duty for the United States Navy.

      received over five years of training in the Navy, in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine. At the end of his tour with the First Tank Battalion, he had the top rated medical clinic in the First Marine Division, as recognized by both the United States Marine Corp., and the United States Navy Inspectors. Personally he was recognized as a top Medical Officer by both the Battalion Commanding Officer, and Division Surgeon his final two years with First Tank Battalion.

     While completing his service in the Navy, Dr Lallande developed an interest in Rheumatology. He had the opportunity to care for many retired service members, many of which had rheumatological conditions. Dr. Lallande was dissatisfied with the current treatment options available and felt that there must be a safer, more effective way to treat these patients.

     Upon completing his obligated service, Dr. Lallande pursued a career in private practice. While doing his career search, he came across the Arthritis Center of Riverside and their unique approach to patient care. Dr. Lallande had the opportunity to interview with Dr. Al Robert Franco, the Medical Director of the Arthritis Center of Riverside, and was very impressed with his visionary approach to the treatment of arthritis and the various rheumatological disorders. Dr. Lallande realized that this was a great opportunity to pursue his interest in Rheumatology, look for safer more effective treatments and learn from an experienced mentor, as well as work with an excellent staff that puts patient health care first.

     Dr. Lallande has been working with the Arthritis Center of Riverside since June of 2000. He specializes in disorders of the musculoskeletal system and spine, osteopathic manipulative therapy, sports injuries and rehabilitation. In addition to working hand in hand with Dr. Franco with the various rheumatological disorders.

     Dr. Lallande is married and they have three sons. Dr. Lallande is anticipating a long and fulfilling career at the Arthritis Center of Riverside and looks forward to participating in wellness of the patients he encounters.
