Al Robert Franco, M.D.

Dr. Franco is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.

The principal aim of his practice is to bring the most comprehensive, caring and up-to-date medical services available to his patients. His innovative treatment of arthritis, using antibiotic therapy and nutritional supplements, has benefited a substantial amount of patients through his forty plus years of rheumatology practice. This therapy has made him one of the leaders in this aspect of the field of rheumatology.

When Dr. Franco finished medical school, he did a medical internship and residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Thereafter, he did a rheumatology fellowship at Queens Hospital Center in New York.

Dr. Franco moved to Southern California and joined Kaiser Permanente as an internist/rheumatologist. In 1987, he decided to move into private practice. He started the Arthritis Center of Riverside in January 1988.
